Webflow AEO Analytics: See Exactly What ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini Say About Your Brand
Until recently, the only way to know what ChatGPT told a prospect about your brand was to ask it yourself and hope you picked the right prompts. That changed in 2026. Webflow AEO Analytics now runs your tracked prompts through ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini, and since the July 10, 2026 update it shows you the complete, verbatim responses each model gives.
This is a genuinely new kind of visibility, and it is also easy to misunderstand what it includes, who can get it, and what it costs to run. Here is the accurate picture, based on what Webflow has actually shipped.
What Webflow AEO actually is
Webflow introduced Webflow AEO in April 2026 and made it generally available to Enterprise customers on May 21, 2026. It is not a standalone product you can buy separately; it is built into the Webflow platform and has two connected halves:
- AEO analytics, which measures how your brand shows up in AI answer engines. It lives inside Webflow Analyze and requires the latest version of Analyze for Enterprise.
- AEO agents, which turn those insights into prioritized, on-brand recommendations and help you ship the fixes across your site. Technical AEO agents are available on all Enterprise sites.
Together they form what Webflow calls a closed loop: measure, recommend, act, all inside the platform where the site actually lives. That last part is the real differentiator against standalone AEO tools, which can tell you what is wrong but cannot publish the fix.
Who gets what, exactly
| Capability | Availability |
|---|---|
| Technical AEO agents | All Webflow Enterprise sites. Agents consume AI credits when they run (effective June 29, 2026). |
| AEO analytics (prompt insights, bot insights, AI Discovery dashboard) | Requires the latest version of Analyze for Enterprise. |
| Content optimization agents | Announced as coming soon, exclusive to Enterprise Analyze customers. |
| Standalone purchase | Not offered. Webflow AEO is built into the platform. |
What AEO analytics measures
Prompt insights. You define the prompts that matter for your business, the questions a buyer would actually ask an AI assistant, and Webflow runs them through the models on an ongoing basis. For each response it records whether your brand was mentioned, how often your site was cited, and which other websites and sources appeared in the answer. You can refine the tracked prompts over time as you learn where you are visible and where you are absent.
AI bot insights. Because Webflow owns the hosting layer, it can report AI crawler activity directly from the server, with no added scripts or third-party instrumentation. You see which AI bots visit your site, which pages they prioritize, and how that activity changes over time. This matters because not all bot traffic is equal: some crawls feed live user queries, others feed model training or AI indexes.
The AI Discovery dashboard. Building on Analyze's existing LLM-referred traffic reports, the dashboard brings prompt, citation, bot, and visitor behavior data into one place, so you can connect AI visibility to what those visitors actually do on your site, including conversions.
The July 10 update: three models and full responses
The launch version of prompt insights only queried ChatGPT. The July 10, 2026 update changed two important things.
Claude and Gemini joined ChatGPT. Your brand does not show up the same way across models, and now you can see those differences directly. Each tracked prompt runs through all three, and the AI Discovery dashboard filters by LLM so you can compare coverage model by model. In our experience the differences are not subtle: a brand can be the default recommendation in one model and invisible in another, because each model draws on different sources and weighs citations differently.
The full response view. Summary metrics tell you that you appeared; the full response view shows you how. For any prompt, on any given day, you can read the complete verbatim output from each model. Webflow positions it for three jobs:
- Going beyond a visibility score to the actual language AI uses about you
- Gauging sentiment, seeing where you rank inside an answer, and spotting competitors that show up instead of you
- Deciding which content to create or update so you show up more accurately and more often
Webflow has also said it is working on MCP and API access to full response data, which would let you run your own analysis, sentiment checks, accuracy validation, competitive tracking, across every prompt at scale with your own AI tools.
The agents that act on it
The analytics half tells you where you stand. The technical AEO agents do something about it. They evaluate pages, CMS items, components, and images across the whole site, surfacing issues that hurt machine readability: broken links, stale or missing schema markup, overly long meta descriptions, missing alt text. Everything lands in one centralized view where you bulk review, accept, modify, or dismiss, then publish.
Two details worth knowing before you switch them on. First, brand context settings let you feed the agents your voice, positioning, terminology, and competitor context so recommendations stay on-brand instead of generic. Second, agents consume AI credits every time they run, so they are powerful but not something to leave running unattended. Plan the cadence.
Not on Enterprise? What to do instead
Most of the sites we work on are not on Enterprise plans, and the underlying AEO fundamentals do not require the dashboard. The measurement layer is what you are missing, not the ability to improve.
- Spot-check manually. Pick ten prompts a real buyer would ask, run them through ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini monthly, and log whether you are mentioned and who is cited. It is the poor man's prompt insights, and it works.
- Fix machine readability yourself. Clean schema markup, accurate metadata, working links, and clear page structure are exactly what the technical agents automate. Our AEO guide for Webflow covers the full checklist.
- Earn citations. The content patterns that get quoted by AI Overviews and chatbots are learnable. We broke them down in our guide to getting cited in Google AI Overviews.
- Watch your analytics for AI referrals. Traffic from chatgpt.com, perplexity.ai, and friends already shows up in your referral reports if you look for it.
The takeaway
AEO measurement has been the weakest link in AI search work: everyone tells you to optimize, almost nothing tells you whether it worked. Webflow AEO Analytics closes that gap for Enterprise teams, and the July 2026 additions, three models plus verbatim responses, make it a real research tool rather than a vanity scoreboard.
If you are on Enterprise, ask your account team about Analyze for Enterprise and start with a small set of high-intent prompts. If you are not, the fundamentals still decide whether AI recommends you, and those are available on every plan.
If you want help building an AEO strategy on Webflow, whether that is configuring prompts and agents on Enterprise or getting the fundamentals right without it, that is work we do every week. Book a call and we will map out where your brand stands in AI search today.
Frequently asked questions
What is Webflow AEO Analytics?
It is the measurement half of Webflow AEO, built into Webflow Analyze for Enterprise. It tracks how your brand appears in AI answers through prompt insights, monitors AI bot activity on your site directly from the hosting layer, and connects AI-driven discovery to on-site behavior and conversions in one dashboard.
Which AI models does Webflow AEO Analytics track?
ChatGPT at launch in May 2026, with Claude and Gemini added on July 10, 2026. The AI Discovery dashboard can be filtered by model, and Webflow has said more answer engines are coming.
What Webflow plan do I need for AEO Analytics?
Webflow AEO is Enterprise-only and not sold standalone. Technical AEO agents come with every Enterprise site; AEO analytics requires the latest version of Analyze for Enterprise.
Do Webflow AEO agents cost extra to run?
Yes. AEO agents consume Webflow AI credits whenever they run, effective June 29, 2026. The analytics dashboards are included with Analyze for Enterprise rather than billed per run.
Can I read the full AI responses about my brand?
Yes, since July 10, 2026. The full response view shows the complete verbatim output from each model for any tracked prompt on any day. MCP and API access to that response data is on Webflow's roadmap.
